One, two, or three buttons – when choosing metro Milwaukee mens formalwear, which one should you buy? Even men who have been wearing fine suits such as Hugo Boss are faced with this dilemma from time to time. So, how do you know which one is right for you? It all depends on your own preference, and the look you’re trying to pull off.

If you’re looking for a classic, sleek look that will stand the test of time and still be in fashion five years from now when you pull it out of your wardrobe, a two-button suit is the only option to choose. This is considered to be the universal standard in good suits, as it looks great on any body shape or type. Because of its timeless look, two-button suits are also great for those that only wear a suit every so often.

The three-button suit probably falls second to the two-button; and it’s especially suitable for taller men. Because room needs to be made for all of the buttons, the jacket reaches up much higher than the two-button. For those with short torsos, this look can cut them off and make them even seem shorter.

The one-button suit is usually reserved for men who are super trendy, or have extremely lean frames. These jackets need to be constantly adjusted, as sitting down with the button done up can cause a drape-like appearance; and standing with it open can make for an unsightly look. These coats aren’t for everyone, and even if it looks great on you make sure you have a two-button in your closet. You’ll get much more out of it.
