What do you do when you need expert mens fashion in the middle of winter, and you don’t want to look like an oversized marshmallow? You come right here, to Harleys, to get our fashion update Milwaukee mens outerwear for 2013!

First and foremost, you need to make sure that the fabric will keep you warm – inside and out. Goose down is one of the most popular fabrics for inner fills, and it’s not hard to see why. This material, made from goose feathers, is one of the warmest on the planet and is easy enough to move around in, too. Contrary to what you may think, coats made with this filler don’t need to be big and bulky, as just a thin layer of down will be enough to keep you warm even when the temperature drops well below the freezing point. For a super-thin look, micro-fleece linings are also very popular today, and are not only thin but can often be removed for warmer days when you don’t need the extra bulk.

But what about the outer layer of your winter coat? Merino wool is still a great standby, and also super thin to keep you warm and protected on those cold winter days. Merino wool is breathable, and takes moisture away from the surface without being thick like other types of wool, and it’s not itchy either.

Of course length is also important. Too short and the look may take on one of best mens sportswear instead of business wear, and it also won’t keep you warm. Too long and it might mean that you’re so stiff you can’t move while on the subway, or hustle about on your way to that big meeting.

Don’t stress over what to wear this winter. Come see us at Harleys where we always have the best advice and styles, for any time of the year.
