We can’t wait to kick off this series, highlighting local businesses and restaurants around the Greater Green Bay and Greater Milwaukee area. This week are are featuring Hinterland Brewery, a must-visit sort of place if you’re in town for a Packer’s game or just looking for a great place for dinner on a Friday night.

Originally Hinterland was located in downtown Green Bay, right in the heart of the Broadway District and just across the bridge from The Haberdasher Limited, our Green Bay location. They recently moved to the Titletown District directly across from Lambeau Field, and their new location is gorgeous. Who doesn’t want to enjoy a great meal while basking in all the glory of the most famous field in the NFL just across the street?

Loot at that view you guys!

Hinterland is known first and foremost for their amazing beer, which is not only available at their restaurant, but also at Festival Foods. Is there anything better than your favorite beers available for you to enjoy at home too?  They have tons of beers on tap, seriously, take a peek at their bar.

If there’s one thing to learn about Wisconsinites, it’s that we LOVE our beer. So Hinterland is like a second home to us. Of course we firmly believe that beer is an international language that everyone can connect over, so regardless of where you are visiting from you will fit right in.

Their food menu is constantly changing and evolving, and you’ll find classics on the appetizer menu like cheese curds, (if you’ve never tried them, you’re in for a treat!), or on their dinner menu you can find old favorites with a contemporary twist. (Elk Loin, we’re looking at you!) One thing is for sure, if you’re looking for a great meal and overall experience Hinterland should 100% be on your list of places to try next time you visit Green Bay.

Wanting to connect with locals or reach out and make new friends from the area? Hinterland also hosts great events where you can enjoy the great ambiance of their restaurant but also mingle with others. Their Monday night Trivia Nights are starting June 4th, or they have their Sola Wine Dinner on June 12th. Of course the fun doesn’t stop there, if you are looking for a place to host an event in Green Bay, Hinterland has two private dining rooms you can utilize. Their Board Room is perfect for more intimate events and seats up to 20 guests. Thinking of something a little bit bigger? Their Barrel Room can seat up to 60 people, which might be the perfect size for a rehearsal dinner, or even a small wedding reception!

And don’t forget every Sunday they offer tours of their brewery! A great option if you want to get a closer peek at the beer making process, or if you just want to learn more about the history of Hinterland Brewery! Plus, the tour includes a souvenir glass and a beer. What tops that?

We hope you enjoyed the first post in our series touring you around the Green Bay area!
