You might think that choosing prom tuxedos Southern Wisconsin is not a big deal. After all, you’ll go to a prom outfitters Milwaukee, choose a tuxedo, and go home. Simple. But what if you go and there are none available? Or what about when the salesperson asks what style you want? Will you know? Renting a tuxedo can actually turn into a bigger deal than just going and choosing a tux, but not if you follow these tips.

Before you even visit a store, look around online and in men’s fashion magazines to get an idea of what kind of tuxedo you’d like. Look at the length of the jacket, the lapels, whether you like tuxedo pants with satin down the side, or without. Also look at different colors and see if you really just want to go with basic black, or if there are other colors you like. Bring the pictures with you when you visit the store, so the store will have an exact idea of what you’re looking for.

Once you know the style you like, visit an experienced mens apparel store about three months before prom. This will be plenty of time to choose a tux, have time for fittings, and make sure that accessories, such as your shoes, fit.

If you approach your tuxedo rental as though it’s no big deal, you’ll unfortunately find that it’s a much bigger, and more stressful, deal than you thought. But if you plan for it, renting your tuxedo really can be no big deal!
